This second part is long--2,461 words. I'm sorry for that. I'm also sorry it took so long to get it out.
I didn't want to lose anything in the telling of this tale. The end was very difficult to write, as it opened old wounds that never really healed. I had to take moments to clear my eyes of the tears, my heart of the pain. I wasn't successful at either, but I got the job done.
I hope you enjoy reading it, as much as sad story like this can be enjoyed anyway.
